Make sure to drink plenty of water, and eat high fiber foods such as whole grains, fruits, and fresh vegetables. Adding a fiber supplement to your diet may help as well. Regular exercise also aids your digestion. You may also consider using a stool softener such as Colace, which is available over the counter.
