The O-Shot FAQ’s
The O-shot is a procedure to improve orgasm, sex-drive, and painful intercourse. It can also help with incontinence and vaginal laxity. It is performed in the office with topical anesthesia and involves injecting PRP (platelet rich plasma) into the clitoris, labia, vagina, and G-spot.
On the day of your appointment, we will do a simple blood draw from your arm. It will then be processed to provide high concentrations of growth factors, platelets, and progenitor cells.
Unlike a lot of clinics, our O-shot is performed by a board-certified physician, Dr. Sarah Andrews.
Since PRP uses platelets and growth factors from your own blood, it is very safe. You may, however, experience some swelling and discomfort for three days after the procedure.
Some effects will be immediate, but it will be 6 weeks before you notice full effects.
Depending on the patient, the effects can last anywhere from 18 months to 10 years.
No, it does not positively or negatively affect fertility. While we typically don’t do the procedure on pregnant women, it can be done before and after pregnancy.
The O-shot costs $1,600. Unfortunately, it is not covered by insurance, however, you can use your HSA or FSA card.
*If the procedure is booked and paid for in the month of February 2021 it is only $1,000 for our valentines special*
