Formula Feeding
Postpartum Resources
Some women cannot breastfeed, cannot breastfeed exclusively, or simply choose not to. This is nothing to be ashamed of! There are many different formulas to choose from, and you will want to educate yourself before your baby is born to know which kind will best suit your baby’s needs.
Formula fed babies will general eat more formula, less frequently than breastfed babies. Your baby will likely take 2-3 ounces of formula, every 3-4 hours for her first few weeks. Pay attention as her feeding demands start to increase as she grows.
Bottles come in many shapes and sizes, and as with the kind of formula you choose, you may need to experiment with a few different styles before you find the one that works best for your baby.
