What to Expect: The Third Trimester


Welcome to the home stretch! You may begin to notice Braxton Hicks Contractions at this point. These are “preparatory” intermittent contractions of your abdomen. Your baby will reach full term over the next few weeks and you will likely experience some physical discomfort. These final months are an important time to prepare physically and mentally for your baby’s arrival. Make sure to get plenty of rest and make all necessary preparations to welcome your baby into a peaceful environment. This strong drive to prepare your home for you baby is called, “nesting.” Take advantage of this burst of energy and motivation and savor your last few weeks of pregnancy!
