It is not unusual to feel lightheaded in pregnancy. This may be caused by changing positions suddenly, being dehydrated, having low blood pressure or low blood sugar, being anemic, or being in a room that is too warm. If you feel dizzy, you should rest or lay down right away.
To prevent feeling this way, be sure to drink fluids throughout the day, eat small frequent meals with higher protein and change positions slowly. Do not hesitate to call us if the dizziness persists, or if you have chest pain or shortness of breath that occur at the same time.
