Abdominal Pain
Pregnancy Resources
Menstrual-like cramping and bloating are common symptoms in early pregnancy. Persistent or worsening cramping can be an indication of a urinary tract infection, so please contact your nurse or doctor if this is something you are experiencing.
As your pregnancy continues, the muscles that support your growing uterus are being stretched and pulled and you may feel this as a dull ache or sharp pain on one side of your abdomen. This is commonly referred to as “round ligament pain.”
You can take Tylenol, use a heating pad, changing positions, and get plenty of rest to provide relief.
