Certified Nurse Midwife

Deb Flansburg is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with over 25 years of experience in caring for women and babies. She and her husband have been married for 34 years and have a hobby farm in Cache Valley where she enjoys her garden, herbs, animals and honey bees. She has 3 adult children and 3 wonderful grandchildren (one of which she had the honor of delivering!).

Deb has been in the health care field for a large portion of her life. She started as a CNA in her teen years, then went to Nursing school at BYU. Halfway through school, she received her LPN and worked as she finished her RN. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, She worked in Labor and Delivery and in well-baby/NICU nurseries for a few years before going back to school for her Master’s Degree in Midwifery from the University of Utah. She is certified through the American College of Nurse-Midwives and is an active member.

Deb loves helping women through their lives from their first GYN needs to menopause. Pregnancy and birth is her favorite part of health care. She hopes to help women have the kind of birth experience they would like in the safest way possible. Deb has delivered well over 3,000 babies in her career. She also provides infertility care, premarital exams, and family planning. Deb truly enjoys the relationships and friendships that have been made over her years of caring for her patients. Deb has a great working relationship with the doctors that collaborate with her on complicated matters of care.

Deb has participated in and managed many pregnancies, and she’s comfortable in both high- and low-risk situations. In addition, she provides routine women’s health and gynecologic care. She has extensive experience in the O.R. which helps her understand medical problems that require surgery. She also has a great deal of knowledge concerning alternative therapies.
