We’ve added a new provider and location to Valley and we can’t wait to introduce Dr. Kory A. Harward from our newest office to you. A graduate of Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. He’s been a practicing physician since 2007 and we are so excited to have him as part of our group.

Get to know more about him and his background below!

Tell us about where you grew up and about your family?

I grew up for the most part in Payson Utah.  I graduated high school in 1991 after which I served a mission in San Antonio Texas.  I have three older brothers all of which still live close by.  My Wife is from Provo and went to provo high.  After graduating from BYU in microbiology, we spent four years in Iowa for medical school and another 4 years in Ohio for residency before moving back home.  We now have three boys.  My oldest is serving a mission in West Virginia.  My middle son is a junior at Provo high and my youngest is attending Dixion middle school.

What is your favorite sweet treat?

Probably Rice Krispy treats or my Mom’s homemade sugar cookies

Tell us three people who have shaped the person you are?

First would be my savior who is the ultimate example of how to live my life.  Second would be my Mom and Dad who have taught me the value of hard, honest work along with countless other lessons that have shaped me from my youth.  Definitely my parents are two great examples.  Third would be my Wife who has shown me the power of family and who is the glue that holds us all together.

What song can always put you in a good mood?

Usually anything from the 80’s hairbands.  I always argue with my boys that Guns n Roses is the best band of all time.  They strongly disagree.

What is your Personal Motto?

Details Matter! (pay attention to details)

Do you play a musical instrument?

I played the trumpet when I was younger.  I thought I was pretty good until my wife secretly sold it at a garage sale one year.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

I love it all, but to be able to assist with bringing a new born into this world is the best.  There is nothing more precious then seeing a new born baby take its first breath.  I am blessed to be able to witness this miracle.
